Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait Of William Pink by William Holman Hunt was sold in the Victorian & Edwardian auction at Sothebys in London in December 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,643.42). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Holman Hunt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tuscan Girl Plaiting Straw in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 3,330,500.00 (€ 4,006,074.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of William Pink von William Holman Hunt wurde im Dezember 2007 in der Auktion Victorian & Edwardian bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.643,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Holman Hunt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tuscan Girl Plaiting Straw im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.330.500,00 (€ 4.006.074,97).
