Auction result well in line with expectations

The work A View of part of the Fort of Lutteefpoor; A View of the Fort of Bidjegur; A View of the Ruins of part of the Palace and Mosque at Fully poor Sicri; A View of the Fort of Allahabad; A View of the Fort of Mongheer, upon the banks of the River Ganges; by William Hodges was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2011. The price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 726.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Hodges achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Matavie Bay in the Island of Otaheite (Matavai Bay, Tahiti) in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 659,250.00 (€ 764,682.72).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit A View of part of the Fort of Lutteefpoor; A View of the Fort of Bidjegur; A View of the Ruins of part of the Palace and Mosque at Fully poor Sicri; A View of the Fort of Allahabad; A View of the Fort of Mongheer, upon the banks of the River Ganges; von William Hodges kam im September 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
