In the Photographs auction, the work Selected Studies sold for USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,173.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Henry Fox Talbot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work William Henry Fox Talbot’S Gifts To His Sister: Horatia Gaisford’S Collection Of Photographs And Ephemera in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,956,000.00 (€ 1,625,935.16).
