In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work The artist's model by William Etty. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,840.00 (€ 4,480.12), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Etty achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venus And Her Satellites in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 55,771.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The artist's model von William Etty zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 4.480,12) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Etty erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venus And Her Satellites im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 55.771,19).
