Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Andromeda by William Etty was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 2,304.00 (€ 2,688.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Etty achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venus And Her Satellites in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 55,771.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Andromeda von William Etty kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.304,00 (€ 2.688,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Etty erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venus And Her Satellites im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 55.771,19).
