Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sabrina, From Milton'S 'Comus' by William Etty was auctioned at Bonhams in London in September 2021. The price achieved of GBP 9,562.50 (€ 11,126.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Etty have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venus And Her Satellites in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 55,771.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sabrina, From Milton'S 'Comus' von William Etty kam im September 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.562,50 (€ 11.126,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Etty auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venus And Her Satellites im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 55.771,19).
