The price achieved of GBP 9,562.50 (€ 11,126.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Etty have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venus And Her Satellites in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 55,771.19).
