Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flowers In A Blue And White Vase by William Crosbie was sold in the Scottish and Sporting Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in August 2007. The price achieved of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,740.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Crosbie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Universal Female, which sold at auction in May 2014 for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 21,508.06).

Die Arbeit Flowers In A Blue And White Vase von William Crosbie wurde im August 2007 in der Auktion Scottish and Sporting Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.740,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von William Crosbie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Universal Female beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 21.508,06) versteigert wurde.
