Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by William Crosbie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. In the Scottish Art auction, the work Little Symphony sold for GBP 4,480.00 (€ 5,144.28) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by William Crosbie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Universal Female in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 21,508.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Crosbie erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit Little Symphony für GBP 4.480,00 (€ 5.144,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Crosbie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Universal Female im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 21.508,06).
