Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New Mexico by William Clift was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,200.00 (€ 5,270.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by William Clift have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2020 the work 'Portrait, Georgia O'Keeffe' was auctioned for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,800.25).
