The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,946.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Clift - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Portrait, Georgia O'Keeffe', which sold at auction in March 2020 for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,800.25).
