Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A shepherd and his sheep in a moorland landscape by William Bradley Lamond was sold in the The Scottish Sale at The Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh auction at Christies in London in October 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,151.00 (€ 3,095.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Bradley Lamond - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Firin' bannocks, which sold at auction in March 2003 for GBP 5,640.00 (€ 8,170.24).
