This artwork by William Bradley Lamond achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2009. In the Victorian and British Impressionist Pictures including Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work Tea by the fire sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,009.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Bradley Lamond - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Firin' bannocks, which sold at auction in March 2003 for GBP 5,640.00 (€ 8,170.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Bradley Lamond erzielte im November 2009 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Victorian and British Impressionist Pictures including Drawings and Watercolours wurde die Arbeit Tea by the fire für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.009,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von William Bradley Lamond mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Firin' bannocks beobachtet, die im März 2003 für GBP 5.640,00 (€ 8.170,24) versteigert wurde.
