Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A midday rest by William Bradley Lamond was sold in the British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings auction at Christies in London in March 2004. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,792.50 (€ 2,683.21) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Bradley Lamond - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Firin' bannocks, which sold at auction in March 2003 for GBP 5,640.00 (€ 8,170.24).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.792,50 (€ 2.683,21) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00.
