Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vessels by a shore by William Anderson was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,889.01) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Anderson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On The Foreshore At Gosport, Watching A New Arrival Coming In in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 37,600.00 (€ 62,461.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vessels by a shore von William Anderson kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.889,01) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Anderson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit On The Foreshore At Gosport, Watching A New Arrival Coming In im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.600,00 (€ 62.461,08).
