Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October last year Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work An English frigate in coastal waters with a Dutch hoy and other small craft close by by William Anderson. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 892.50 (€ 1,039.75). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Anderson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On The Foreshore At Gosport, Watching A New Arrival Coming In in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 37,600.00 (€ 62,461.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Marine Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit An English frigate in coastal waters with a Dutch hoy and other small craft close by von William Anderson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 892,50 (€ 1.039,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Anderson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit On The Foreshore At Gosport, Watching A New Arrival Coming In im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.600,00 (€ 62.461,08).
