Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dutch boats in a calm by William Anderson was auctioned at Bonhams in London in April last year. The price achieved of GBP 956.25 (€ 1,140.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Anderson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On The Foreshore At Gosport, Watching A New Arrival Coming In in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 37,600.00 (€ 62,461.08).
