Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Cabin Scene by William Aiken Walker. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,960.00 (€ 8,266.45). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Aiken Walker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Big B Cotton Plantation in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 648,500.00 (€ 545,049.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cabin Scene von William Aiken Walker zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.960,00 (€ 8.266,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Aiken Walker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Big B Cotton Plantation im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 648.500,00 (€ 545.049,59).
