Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & Early British Paintings, which included the work Still Life Of Game With A Pheasant, A Duck, A Kingfisher And Other Birds by Willem van Aelst. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,745.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem van Aelst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still life with grapes in a basket, peaches on a silver dish, medlars, two butterflies, a fly and a snail, all on a red velvet cloth over a partially draped ledge in January 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,230,000.00 (€ 1,013,597.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & Early British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life Of Game With A Pheasant, A Duck, A Kingfisher And Other Birds von Willem van Aelst zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still life with grapes in a basket, peaches on a silver dish, medlars, two butterflies, a fly and a snail, all on a red velvet cloth over a partially draped ledge im Januar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.230.000,00 (€ 1.013.597,03).
