Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings & Sculpture, which included the work A Partridge, A Pheasant, A Hunting Bag And Traps On A Partially Draped Ledge, Songbirds, A Hunting Horn And Hawking Hoods Hanging Above by Willem van Aelst. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 206,500.00 (€ 150,565.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Willem van Aelst have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still life with grapes in a basket, peaches on a silver dish, medlars, two butterflies, a fly and a snail, all on a red velvet cloth over a partially draped ledge in January 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,230,000.00 (€ 1,013,597.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Partridge, A Pheasant, A Hunting Bag And Traps On A Partially Draped Ledge, Songbirds, A Hunting Horn And Hawking Hoods Hanging Above von Willem van Aelst zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 206.500,00 (€ 150.565,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem van Aelst auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still life with grapes in a basket, peaches on a silver dish, medlars, two butterflies, a fly and a snail, all on a red velvet cloth over a partially draped ledge im Januar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.230.000,00 (€
