Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Groupe de chenes à Lochem by Willem Roelofs was sold in the Old Masters, 19th Century and Impressionist Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2014. The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Roelofs achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer (Between Hilversum And Loosdrecht) in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 78,250.00.

Die Arbeit Groupe de chenes à Lochem von Willem Roelofs wurde im Mai 2014 in der Auktion Old Masters, 19th Century and Impressionist Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Roelofs erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Summer (Between Hilversum And Loosdrecht) im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 78.250,00.
