In June 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work A polder landscape with windmills by Willem Roelofs. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,375.00 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Willem Roelofs have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Summer (Between Hilversum And Loosdrecht) in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 78,250.00.

Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit A polder landscape with windmills von Willem Roelofs zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.375,00 und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem Roelofs auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Summer (Between Hilversum And Loosdrecht) im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 78.250,00.
