Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Rose #7 by Will Ryman was sold in the New Now Day Sale auction at Phillips in New York in February 2016. The auction ended at the price of USD 35,000.00 (€ 32,204.64), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Will Ryman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Bed, which sold at auction in October 2013 for GBP 97,875.00 (€ 115,687.47).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Rose #7 von Will Ryman wurde im Februar 2016 in der Auktion New Now Day Sale bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 32.204,64) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Will Ryman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Bed beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für GBP 97.875,00 (€ 115.687,47) versteigert wurde.
