Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Christies in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Wilhelm Sasnal. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 76,341.01). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilhelm Sasnal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Airplanes, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 396,000.00 (€ 294,358.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wilhelm Sasnal zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 68.750,00 (€ 76.341,01) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm Sasnal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Airplanes beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für USD 396.000,00 (€ 294.358,14) versteigert wurde.
