Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wilhelm Lehmbruck could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Kopf Einer Frau (Head Of A Woman) changed hands for USD 18,900.00 (€ 15,499.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilhelm Lehmbruck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Torso Eines Jungen Weibes in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 608,750.00 (€ 1,011,254.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wilhelm Lehmbruck konnte im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Kopf Einer Frau (Head Of A Woman) für USD 18.900,00 (€ 15.499,43) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm Lehmbruck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Torso Eines Jungen Weibes im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 608.750,00 (€ 1.011.254,87).
