Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bird'S Eye View: Shanghai And Haikou (Two Works) by Weng Fen was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2010. The price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,062.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Weng Fen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Beautiful World-Bird Nest in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 39,832.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bird'S Eye View: Shanghai And Haikou (Two Works) von Weng Fen wurde im Oktober 2010 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.062,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Weng Fen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Beautiful World-Bird Nest im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 39.832,54).
