Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Beautiful Day by Wei Dong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The price achieved of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,524.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wei Dong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wanna Fly, which sold at auction in May 2013 for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 37,188.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Beautiful Day von Wei Dong kam im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.524,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wei Dong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wanna Fly beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 37.188,17) versteigert wurde.
