Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Discoveries | Encounters, which included the work Wang Yancheng | Sans titre by Wang Yan Cheng. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 239,400.00 (€ 29,872.20), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yan Cheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 5,440,000.00 (€ 515,772.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Discoveries | Encounters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wang Yancheng | Sans titre von Wang Yan Cheng zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 239.400,00 (€ 29.872,20) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yan Cheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.440.000,00 (€ 515.772,45).
