This artwork by Wang Yan Cheng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in December this year. In the Art contemporain auction, the work La nuit bleutée sold for EUR 32,760.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yan Cheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 5,440,000.00 (€ 515,772.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 82 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Yan Cheng erzielte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art contemporain wurde die Arbeit La nuit bleutée für EUR 32.760,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yan Cheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.440.000,00 (€ 515.772,45).
