Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work L'Envol - 2005 by Wang Yan Cheng was worth EUR 50,700.00 to a buyer in March 2019. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Art 1950 to present at Artcurial in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yan Cheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 5,440,000.00 (€ 515,772.45).

Die Arbeit L'Envol - 2005 von Wang Yan Cheng war einem Käufer im März 2019 EUR 50.700,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Art 1950 to present bei Artcurial in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yan Cheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.440.000,00 (€ 515.772,45).
