The work Calligraphy In Seal Script by Wang Shu was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. It achieved a price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 18,620.24), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Admittedly, works by Wang Shu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Superfluous Words On Calligraphy in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 134,500.00 (€ 104,620.41).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Seal Script von Wang Shu kam im März 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 18.620,24) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Shu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Superfluous Words On Calligraphy im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 134.500,00 (€ 104.620,41).
