Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wang Shizi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Dragon In The Clouds sold for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 34,843.34) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wang Shizi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot FLowers and Bird sold at auction in October 2013 with the realized price of HKD 460,000.00 (€ 43,651.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Shizi erzielte im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Dragon In The Clouds für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 34.843,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wang Shizi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit FLowers and Bird im Oktober 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 460.000,00 (€ 43.651,61).
