Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Christies held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center, which included the work Pine and Sparrows by Wang Shizi. It changed hands for a price of HKD 17,500.00 (€ 1,982.24) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Shizi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work FLowers and Bird in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 460,000.00 (€ 43,651.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pine and Sparrows von Wang Shizi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 17.500,00 (€ 1.982,24) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Shizi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit FLowers and Bird im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 460.000,00 (€ 43.651,61).
