Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Chrysanthemum by Wang Shizi for HKD 12,500.00 (€ 1,415.89). This price was achieved in the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center at Christies and was even below the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Shizi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work FLowers and Bird in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 460,000.00 (€ 43,651.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Chrysanthemum von Wang Shizi für HKD 12.500,00 (€ 1.415,89) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center bei Christies erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Shizi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit FLowers and Bird im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 460.000,00 (€ 43.651,61).
