This artwork by Wang Shizi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. In the FINE MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY CHINESE PAINTINGS auction, the work Dragon sold for HKD 66,000.00 (€ 6,873.11) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Shizi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work FLowers and Bird in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 460,000.00 (€ 43,651.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Shizi erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY CHINESE PAINTINGS wurde die Arbeit Dragon für HKD 66.000,00 (€ 6.873,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Shizi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit FLowers and Bird im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 460.000,00 (€ 43.651,61).
