The work FLowers and Bird by Wang Shizi was worth HKD 460,000.00 (€ 43,651.61) to a buyer in October 2013. This price was achieved in the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas at China Guardian in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00 many times over. This high result makes FLowers and Bird the most expensive artwork by Wang Shizi that we have observed at auctions so far.
