Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Squirrel And Flowers by Wang Shishen. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,505.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Shishen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flower Tree in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,840,000.00 (€ 180,115.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Squirrel And Flowers von Wang Shishen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.505,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Shishen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flower Tree im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.840.000,00 (€ 180.115,43).
