Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Calligraphy by Wang Shishen was worth HKD 250,000.00 (€ 22,363.66) to a buyer in May 2011. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Wang Shishen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flower Tree in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,840,000.00 (€ 180,115.43).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Wang Shishen war einem Käufer im Mai 2011 HKD 250.000,00 (€ 22.363,66) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Shishen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flower Tree im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.840.000,00 (€ 180.115,43).
