Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Orchid by Wang Shishen. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 13,021.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Shishen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flower Tree in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,840,000.00 (€ 180,115.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orchid von Wang Shishen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 13.021,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Shishen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flower Tree im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.840.000,00 (€ 180.115,43).
