A top price for Wang Shishen - as previously expected
In April 2013 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings And Calligraphy, which included the work Flower Tree by Wang Shishen. The price achieved of HKD 1,840,000.00 (€ 180,115.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,600,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Flower Tree is the most expensive artwork by Wang Shishen that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im April 2013 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings And Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flower Tree von Wang Shishen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.840.000,00 (€ 180.115,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.600.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Flower Tree das teuerste Kunstwerk von Wang Shishen, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
