The work Calligraphy by Wang Jie was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2020. It achieved a price of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 6,460.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. Admittedly, works by Wang Jie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Endless Day in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 620,000.00 (€ 64,587.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Wang Jie kam im Juni 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 6.460,91) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Jie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Endless Day im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 620.000,00 (€ 64.587,51).
