Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Xuan Wu (Three Panels) by Wang Dongling was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2007. It achieved a price of USD 67,000.00 (€ 47,120.05), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 22%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Dongling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Harmonious Opposition, which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Xuan Wu (Three Panels) von Wang Dongling wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 67.000,00 (€ 47.120,05) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 22%. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Dongling mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Harmonious Opposition beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 98.581,85) versteigert wurde.
