In June 2016 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle, which included the work Portrait De Jeune Femme by Vittorio Matteo Corcos. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 60,000.00 71% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Vittorio Matteo Corcos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Alla fontana (Le due colombe) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 687,500.00 (€ 590,280.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 71 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2016 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait De Jeune Femme von Vittorio Matteo Corcos zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 60.000,00 und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vittorio Matteo Corcos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Alla fontana (Le due colombe) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 687.500,00 (€ 590.280,76).
