Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Team (Pictures of Chocolate Series) by Vik Muniz was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2007. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,759.83). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vik Muniz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sugar Children: Valentina, The Fastest; Jacynthe Loves Orange Juice; Big James Sweats Buckets; Lil' Calist Can'T Swim; Valicia Bathes In Sunday Clothes; Ten Ten'S Weed Necklace in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 293,000.00 (€ 277,409.58).
