The »bidding war« ended at USD 52,920.00 (€ 44,291.93), 51% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Victor Manuel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Carnaval (Escena de comparsa) in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 319,500.00 (€ 302,041.97).

Die Arbeit Paisaje Guajiro Con Personajes von Victor Manuel wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 52.920,00 (€ 44.291,93) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victor Manuel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Carnaval (Escena de comparsa) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 319.500,00 (€ 302.041,97).
