In March this year Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art Online, which included the work Paisaje con bohío by Victor Manuel. The »bidding war« ended at USD 50,400.00 (€ 46,357.62), 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Victor Manuel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Carnaval (Escena de comparsa) in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 319,500.00 (€ 302,041.97).

Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paisaje con bohío von Victor Manuel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 46.357,62) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victor Manuel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Carnaval (Escena de comparsa) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 319.500,00 (€ 302.041,97).
