Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cabeza de mujer 14 7/16 x 11 5/8 in (36.7 x 29.5 cm) by Victor Manuel was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art auction at Bonhams in February this year. The price achieved of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,367.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Manuel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Carnaval (Escena de comparsa) in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 319,500.00 (€ 302,041.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cabeza de mujer 14 7/16 x 11 5/8 in (36.7 x 29.5 cm) von Victor Manuel wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.367,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Manuel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Carnaval (Escena de comparsa) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 319.500,00 (€ 302.041,97).
