In September 2012 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Office at Night by Victor Burgin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,548.23), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Victor Burgin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Zoo 78 in February 2012 with an auction result of GBP 61,250.00 (€ 73,134.12).

Im September 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Office at Night von Victor Burgin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.548,23) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victor Burgin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Zoo 78 im Februar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 61.250,00 (€ 73.134,12).
