The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,855.24), 52% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Vera Lutter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Brooklyn Bridge in October 2005 with an auction result of GBP 48,000.00 (€ 70,785.49).

Die Arbeit Pepsi Cola, Factory Interior: July 2000 von Vera Lutter wurde im März 2010 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.855,24) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vera Lutter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Brooklyn Bridge im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 48.000,00 (€ 70.785,49).
