Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Vee Speers could be acquired at Phillips in London in September 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Untitled #21 from The Birthday Party changed hands for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,032.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vee Speers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled #16 from The Birthday Party in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 13,494.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Vee Speers konnte im September 2020 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Untitled #21 from The Birthday Party für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.032,32) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vee Speers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled #16 from The Birthday Party im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 13.494,37).
