Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Untitled #30 from The Birthday Party by Vee Speers. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,742.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vee Speers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled #16 from The Birthday Party, which sold at auction in April 2011 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 13,494.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled #30 from The Birthday Party von Vee Speers zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.742,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Vee Speers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled #16 from The Birthday Party beobachtet, die im April 2011 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 13.494,37) versteigert wurde.
